The Kennedy Library Reading Circle is gearing up for summer.
Join us as we discuss lively and thought-provoking novels.
The first featured book is The Shipping News by Annie Proulx, Several copies are available for check out at the Kennedy Library Circulation Desk.
The Shipping News is winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award. A family crisis propels Quoyle, a 36-year old, third-rate newspaper man, out of a mundane existence and into a strange, new life on the starkly beautiful Newfoundland coast amidst a quirky collection of local characters, mysterious knots, and the power of the family homestead.

Enjoy music in the Sonata sculpture area. Take a step out of reality and into the mystical, magical world of Megan Upchurch, harpist, vocalist, and songwriter. Megan’s ethereal music will soothe and inspire. The spirit of her music comes from within, but its roots are in the land of her Celtic heritage; a land of myths, beauty, and mystery.
