The J. Ottis Adams painting that is featured on the notecards really is neat. If you haven’t checked it out at the Carnegie library, it’s upstairs across from the information desk. There’s another painting just as big across the parking lot at the Local History and Genealogy Center, also by J. Ottis Adams. I’m not sure of the title at the moment, but from what I understand it’s a copy he did of another master painter’s work as part of his studies. The painting on the notecards are a great Muncie souvenir though – it’s hard to believe that roads like Wheeling were once just dirt roads!
