MPL Awarded AWE Early Literacy Computers

Muncie Public Library has received a grant of three AWE Early Literacy Computers to encourage literacy in children. AWE stands for Advanced Workstations for Education.Each computer is equipped with fun learning programs for children in both English and Spanish versions.

The AWE computer project is supported by the Institute of Museums and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Indiana State Library.

Kids and parents, stop by Maring-Hunt Library or Kennedy Library to check out these new computers which feature Reader Rabbit, Sponge Bob and other popular learning software.
