The Reading Circle

Book Discussion Series

Join us around the beautiful Sonata sculpture at Kennedy Library as we read and explore selected books. The March 2 group will meet at 2 p.m. to discuss The Shipping News by Annie Poulx. Check out a copy of this book at the Kennedy Circulation Desk. The group will meet every other Monday. Join in the group whether you have read the selection or want to know more about it before you read it. The title of this planned quarterly series of discussions is defined as,” The Ties That Bind” and will focus on books that create a sense of family, place and community. Other titles to read will include: Pay It Forward by Catherine Ryan Hyde; A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest J. Gaines; Ordinary People by Judith Guest; and Fried Green Tomatoes by Fannie Flagg.  Special copies of each book will be available at the Kennedy Library Circulation Desk.
