Winter Reading Program

Hey, kids, it’s time to “chill out” at the library with a GREAT book!  Winter Reading fun starts January 2 at the Muncie Public Library!  Sign up at Maring-Hunt, Carnegie, or Conley public library and get a reading log to keep track of the fun reading you do. You can even read magazines and listen to books on tape! 

Be sure to bring your reading log to the library every week to earn cool prizes like treasures from the treasure chest, or free book and food coupons. Make it to the halfway level and you are eligible for a $30 Toys R Us gift certificate drawing. Finish all the reading levels and you will receive a chance to enter the end of program drawing for a $50 Wal-Mart gift certificate!

Plus, when you check out 5 books and/or attend a winter reading program you will be eligible for a drawing for a $25 Books-a-Million gift certificate!

Check out the special Winter Reading Programs for make-and-take crafts, afternoon movies, Read and Feed and MORE fabulous story times for preschoolers and kids. If you don’t have a card, that’s okay! You can read at the Library! Read just 20 minutes a day to reach a prize level and earn a prize!

Melt into the library and have fun! If you liked summer reading, you’ll love Winter Reading! Brrrrrr!

*If you are in 6th, 7th, or 8th grades check out the drawing prizes below to see what is available for you!

 Your choice of Drawing Prizes will include:

  • That MP3 Player you never got for Christmas

  • Downloadable iTunes

You will receive additional drawing entries by:

  • Reaching a reading level  
  • Checking out five books 
  • Attending a program.

When you reach the top level, enjoy a personal pan pizza from Papa John’s.

Last day to sign up: February 15, 2008. Last day to pick up prizes: March 7, 2008.
