Summer Reading Program for Adults

 

Summer is a time for growing things, so why not grow your mind with Muncie Public Library’s Adult Summer Reading Program? The program runs June 1 – July 31 and adults 18-118 are eligible. For every book you read, fill out a short review and get your name entered in our grand prize drawing for a very secret, very grand prize. So, whether it’s the newest best sellers, or some great books on gardening (check out the MPL Gardening Resource Brochure), bee a reader this summer and bee a winner! Check out our Summer Reader blog!

 

Maring-Hunt will host the annual Summer Reading kick-off on Saturday, May 31, from 1-4 p.m. Readers of all ages can get a jump on signing up for the Summer Reading Programs for children, young adults and adults while enjoying food, games and fun. Mark your calendars!

Buzz into the Library this summer and find out how you can transform your summer into fun and prizes. Experience a metamorphosis of reading in your life. Plus, you will have fun and have chances

to earn cool prizes, *even* a computer!

 

Keep track of your time spent reading anything you choose–even magazines and graphic novels–and earn free food items, a free book to keep and certificates to local attractions. Plus, for each level you complete you will be eligible to enter drawings for your choice of an MP3 Player, a $50 Books-A-Million gift certificate, or a $50 iTunes Card. Plus, all summer reading participants completing the program will be eligible for a drawing prize to win a Free Computer!

Muncie Public Library cards are *free* for those living in Center Township.  Library cards can be obtained for a fee if you live outside of Center Township. Young adults may participate at the Library if they do not have a Library card.

Prizes this year are better than ever, with a chance to win a computer for ages three through high school and other special drawing prizes!  First 500 to register receive a book bag. Earn Book Bucks at each level and spend your Book Bucks at the MPL Bookworm store!
Sign up in June or July at any Library Location. 
Carnegie Youth Services hours are limited to 12-6 p.m. Monday – Friday.

     > Read or listen to any MPL Book or magazine for just 20-30 minutes a day.

     > Read your way to level 5 and be eligible for a drawing for a gift certificate of your choice from Wal-Mart, Books-A-Million or Toys R Us!
