Are you a retiree or senior citizen looking for a great volunteer opportunity? The MPL Great Achievers afterschool program needs you!

Help MPL as we provide homework and tutoring help for students in grades 1-3 who are at-risk of academic failure. Great Achievers meets at Maring-Hunt Library. Volunteers are needed Monday through Thursday from 3-5 pm. Sign up for one day a week or more. Retired teachers and aides are especially encouraged to volunteer, but anyone who enjoys working with young children can help with homework, reading and other educational activities. Your efforts will make a difference in a child’s life! Great Achievers is an afterschool program featuring curriculum based activities and has a proven record of helping students improve grades and standardized test scores.

Because volunteers will be working with young children, all volunteers must agree to a criminal background check.
